No one can tell you to give up.
Hello everyone, my name is Holden. My story should help anyone who is thinking of giving up. What I will tell you is don't no matter how bad it gets. Since, I was about 6 or 7 years old I knew I wanted to be a Navy SEAL. The only problem was I had really bad asthma snice I was about 4 months old.
I started all the paper work for the Navy on my 17th birthday. A few days later my recruiter called me and said I was not able to get into the Navy at all. I went and got a PFT (pulmonary function test) passed that with normal lung volumes. This would say the asthma I had went away since I started working out and running. I sent my new papers back up to MEPS to try again. Again, he said no and I was permanently disqualified.
Once, I heard that I stoped caring about and gave up on all the thing I have ever wanted and loved doing. This lasted for about 3 months. Then one day I woke up and looked at my life and where it was going. I didn't like what I saw. How could I just give up on what I wanted all my life?
So, I went back to my recruiter and he helped me again. I took another pft and passed again. Sent that up and they told me that i'm now only temporarily disqualified until Nov 2012.
Yes my story is boring and all. But what i hope people will get out of my story is, to no give up or give in. I won't quit, and I will never accept anything but success. No matter how small.

Thanks Holden
You did a great job in not camping out in the sad and discouraged place, and an even better one deciding to not give up and keep trying. Always remember outside set backs are one thing, but who you are as a man is something else. Work on being that man you want to be and no one can ever take that away from you. Keep going for it my friend. Deb
