Bad news, good news, better news.

Another update on my progress.

First, the bad news.  I botched the army medical, said something I wasn't supposed to, and the doctor outright told me that my application would be rejected.

But then there's good news.  I withdrew my application, and all of my records, except for the aptitude test, were shredded.  I can reapply in a few months.  Seeing as I aced the aptitude test and the interview, it won't be difficult to get in, and this time I'll keep my mouth shut.

The better news?  Not only is my Olympic weightlifting going great, but for warmup today, I ran a 6 minute mile.  That is not a mistype. One mile in 6 minutes and 6 seconds.  My lungs and throat burned from the effort, my legs felt like they were about to collapse, and my whole body begged me to stop.  It was like listening to a child that knew that he would get more attention by whining.  I refused to give in to the demand, and kept my pace.

While I believed in the theory of NDCQ, today, I finally proved it to myself. It isn't just a theory, it is a fact.  Nothing short of an act of G-d will keep me from reaching my goals.
